Senior Physiotherapist
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join the medical department of a leading Championship football club. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the physical development, injury prevention, and rehabilitation of academy players, helping to prepare them for progression into first-team football.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality physiotherapy support to Academy players across all age groups
- Lead on injury prevention strategies, screening, and rehabilitation programmes
- Deliver pitch-side medical cover for academy training sessions and matches
- Work closely with the Academy Head of Medical, coaches, and sports science staff to optimise player care
- Maintain accurate medical records in line with professional and safeguarding standards
- Contribute to the design and implementation of return-to-play protocols
- Support the wider academy programme in line with EPPP (Elite Player Performance Plan) requirements
Qualities & Skills Required
- Strong clinical knowledge and proven experience in a sports physiotherapy setting (football desirable)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic player care
- Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and safeguarding best practice

Licences and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration and membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Valid Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF) qualification
- Enhanced DBS clearance
